We are simply a local group of Christians (Acts 11:26), seeking to serve God based on the teachings and patterns revealed in his word, the Bible. We are not affiliated with any denomination or other groups, but are an autonomous body acknowledging Christ as the only head of the church (Ephesians 1:22-23).
We rely on the Bible as our sole source for doctrine and instruction (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and refer to it frequently in our classes and sermons. We encourage you to study the scriptures (Acts 17:11).
At our assemblies you can expect worship to be in accordance with the scriptures and the pattern they provide including:
- On Sunday, the first day of the week, we observe the Lord’s Supper (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:24-26).
- We praise God and edify one another through singing (Colossians 3:16).
- We offer prayers of supplication and thanksgiving (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
- We exhort one another to “continue steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine” through sermons (Acts 2:42).
- On Sunday, the first day of the week, we take up a collection, to give as we have prospered(1 Corinthians 16:1-2; 2 Corinthians 9:7).
